Good afternoon Siskiyou Fire Fighters,
This years readiness drills will be April 18th at College of the Siskiyous Weed campus and May 2nd at Yreka High School.
This training will provide you and your department with the necessary training for RT-130 and also the hands-on portion of the S-130 class, if needed. Please bring the certificate provided by NWCG if you are completing the hands-on portion of the S-130 online class.
Registration for the training will be completed during the check-in portion of the training.
The plan for each day is as follows:
Check-in 0830-0900, Briefing at 0930.
Division Breakouts will include handline construction, fire shelters and firing devices, hoselays, vehicle safety inspections, radio use, lessons learned and IWI.
Lunch will be provided by the Siskiyou County Chiefs Association.
Historically we complete the training around 1400.
We are requesting that each department send me the total number of personnel attending the training on each day and how many pieces of equipment with identifiers will be there.
If you have any personnel that can assist as Divisions or Strike Team Leaders please let us know.
We will email the registration forms to you prior to the training to expedite check in on the training day.
If you have any firefighters who need S-130 please go to the Wildland Fire Learning Portal S-130 Blended Course. Those who complete this training must bring the online certificate with them to receive the hands-on portion to complete their S-130 training.
If you have any questions please let us know
Thank you,
