Team,
We will be conducting SIRG team training on October 13th at 1100 hours and a second training on October 17th at 0900 hours.
Training Location: College of the Siskiyous – Weed Fire Tower
The focus of these trainings will be simulated confined-space incidents designed to replicate real-world events. Teams will work through realistic scenarios from initial size-up through patient access, entry considerations, rope system setup, patient packaging, and removal.
The expectation is that everyone arrives prepared to hit the ground running. This will not be a basic introduction to the equipment or techniques. Come prepared to actively participate, perform your assigned role, communicate with the team, and work through the scenarios from start to finish.
If you do not currently have your Confined Space Technician qualification, you can still participate and work on the rope systems and technical rope work. This will provide an opportunity to build familiarity with the equipment and develop skills that will support the team during actual incidents.
These trainings will be hands-on, scenario-based, and designed to closely replicate a real-world confined-space response. Be prepared to work, communicate, problem-solve, and adapt as a team.
Please arrive ready to train and make the most of the time we have together.
